Home visits

If you are too unwell to come to the surgery, we may be able to arrange a home visit after a clinical assessment.

Home visits are usually for patients who are housebound or seriously unwell.

Request a home visit

To request a home visit, please contact us using our online consultation service and explain your symptoms.

If you are unable to use the online service, please contact the surgery by phone and we will help you.

Important information

If you are able to come to the surgery, we encourage you to do so where possible.

This is because home visits take significantly longer than appointments at the surgery, which means we can see more patients if you attend in person.

You can bring children to the surgery if they are unwell, including if they have a high temperature.

Other types of home visit support

You may also be seen at home by other services if needed:

  • a community nurse (if referred by your GP or healthcare professional)
  • a health visitor (for families with young children)

Change or cancel a home visit

If you need to change or cancel a home visit, please let us know as soon as possible using our online consultation service.
