Before contacting us
Please remember
- Prescriptions take three working days to be processed by the surgery.
- Your pharmacy may need additional time to prepare your medication.
- If your medication is out of stock, your pharmacy may be able to suggest an alternative or advise when it will be available.
Missing prescription?
If your pharmacy cannot find your prescription, you may be able to check its status using the NHS App or Patient Access.
If your prescription request shows as approved, it has usually been sent electronically to your nominated pharmacy. In this case, the pharmacy may still be processing your medication.
If your prescription request has not yet been approved, it may still be awaiting review by the surgery.
Before contacting us, please check:
- that three working days have passed since you ordered your prescription
- that you have selected the correct nominated pharmacy
- whether your prescription has been approved in the NHS App or Patient Access
If you have checked the above and are still unable to locate your prescription, please contact us.

Where appropriate, we will review your medication and advise on the next steps.
