Appointments outside normal hours (Enhanced access)
If you cannot attend the surgery during normal opening times, you may be able to book an appointment in the evening or at the weekend at a local GP service.
This is known as the Enhanced Access service.
About the service
Enhanced access appointment are for routine general practice care and must be booked in advance.
- This is not a walk-in service
- These appointments are not for urgent problems
- You may be seen by a clinician from another local practice.
You will be asked for your consent to share your GP record with the clinician providing your care. This helps ensure you receive safe and appropriate treatment.

- GP appointments
- Nurse or healthcare assistant appointments
- Blood tests (phlebotomy)

To book an enhanced access appointment, please call the surgery on 01803 557458 and select option 2.

When to use this service
Enhanced access appointments are suitable if:
- you cannot attend during normal surgery house
- you need routine care
